PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gennki Suddo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vlad The Impaler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suddo comes into the arena with Korn - Blind blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Impaler gets a double leg takedown into Suddo's guard.

Suddo has his foot on The Impaler's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. The Impaler works his way back into a safe position though.

Suddo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as The Impaler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Suddo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but The Impaler can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Suddo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. The Impaler doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. The Impaler manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Suddo has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. The Impaler is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Suddo.

Suddo is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. The Impaler knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften The Impaler for a finish.

I really don't envy The Impaler right now.
The Impaler wants to control his opponent's hands but Suddo gets his hands free.
You can see the frustration on The Impaler's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Suddo is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged The Impaler with him. The Impaler is trying to defend but Suddo has an arm under the chin now! The Impaler grimaces and is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Gennki Suddo!
A relieved looking Gennki Suddo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
