Samurai has his takedown stuffed
and Griffin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Griffin dips to his left and cracks Samurai with an uppercut!
Samurai is rocked!
Griffin lands an uppercut, right on the button! Samurai tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). TJ Griffin!
After the fight, TJ Griffin was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
