Banks connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Karakantes momentarily.

Karakantes misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Banks fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Karakantes on the side of the head.
Banks defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Karakantes.
Karakantes takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Scott Banks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Karakantes has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Karakantes there as he acknowledges the shot.
Karakantes's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Banks connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Karakantes scrambles back to his feet.
Karakantes looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Karakantes takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Karakantes. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Banks dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Banks cracks Karakantes with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Banks feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Karakantess jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
A jab from Banks finds it's way through Karakantes's defenses.
Banks feints a jab promting Karakantes to slip. Banks then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Karakantes slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Karakantes is rocked!
The crowd cheers as Banks lands an impressive looking overhand right. Karakantes doesn't seem phased though.
Oh Karakantes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Banks is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Banks connects with a right hand. Karakantes shakes it off.
Banks lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Karakantes goes down and covers up as Banks starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Scott Banks!
