PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jason Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kassidy Cullen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griffin's entrance music is The Claw. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Bruno Hogan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Cullen wants to land a leg kick but Griffin is out of range.

Cullen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cullen lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Griffin is on top in guard.
Griffin wants to stand and escape but instead Cullen has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Griffin sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cullen connects with a nice short shot to Griffin's temple.
