Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ezio Buzzetta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshahiro Matsui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ezio Buzzetta has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ezio Buzzetta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshahiro Matsui!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Sergei Dronov and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matsui tries for a takedown but Buzzetta circles away easily
and Buzzetta counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Buzzetta ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Matsui moves away.

and Buzzetta counters with a right hand to the body.
Buzzetta lands with a hook. Matsui tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Buzzetta misses with a wild combination.

and Buzzetta cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ezio Buzzetta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yoshahiro Matsui.
A jab lands there for Buzzetta.

Matsui looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Matsui walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Matsui is trying hard to land a takedown here. Buzzetta sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

and Matsui counters with a left and a right that stings Buzzetta.

Matsui gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Buzzetta counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Matsui's guard now.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Matsui has momentary wrist control but Buzzetta slips an elbow through the middle.

Matsui wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Buzzetta manages to pass to side control.

Buzzetta looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Matsui with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Buzzetta working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Buzzetta has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Buzzetta sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Matsui's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Matsui is on top in guard.
Buzzetta might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Buzzetta is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Matsui is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Matsui is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Buzzetta is just riding it out for now. Matsui eventually gives up the hold.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Buzzetta wants to control but Matsui is keeping busy and won't allow it.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Matsui takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Matsui fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Matsui loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Buzzetta scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Matsui land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Matsui stands and salutes the crowd.
