Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hong Kong Phooey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Lamotta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phooey kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Hong Kong Phooey. Lamotta is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by yes. Hong Kong Phooey could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jake Lamotta's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Hong Kong Phooey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 8 - 1, fighting out of London, Jake Lamotta! The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Glass and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lamotta fails to land the takedown. Phooey takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Phooey tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A shot to the liver by Phooey. Beautiful body shot. Phooey is looking to clinch. Lamotta pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lamotta staying out of range there. A head kick by Phooey misses enabling Lamotta to counter with a crisp jab. Phooey lands with a cross. Lamotta showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Phooey.
A telegraphed right hand from Lamotta misses the target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lamotta cracks the inside of Phooey's front leg. Phooey drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Lamotta misses with a looping right. Phooey tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Some wild striking there from Phooey.
Phooey throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Lamotta motions for Phooey to come forward. Lamotta throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Phooey ducks under a wild hook from Lamotta.

and Phooey counters with a crisp one two that drops Lamotta! Phooey thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Lamotta to his feet! Lamotta is in big trouble!
Lamotta is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Phooey stuns Lamotta with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Lamotta is still on wobbly legs! Can Phooey finish him? Lamotta connects with a single shot there. Phooey moves in looking to clinch but Lamotta pushes him off. Phooey buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Lamotta seems to have recovered his senses. Phooey throws a head kick but Lamotta moves out of range.
Phooey throws a head kick that misses enabling Lamotta to counter with a crisp jab. Phooey is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lamotta. Phooey moves in looking to clinch but Lamotta pushes him off. Lamotta will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Lamotta shoots in for a takedown but Phooey shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Hong Kong Phooey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Lamotta. Phooey scores with a head kick. Lamotta tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Phooey throws a right and a left that both miss. Lamotta drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Phooey uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lamotta. Lamotta decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Phooey keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Phooey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lamotta on the ground. Phooey trying to hold on to Lamotta's head to control him but Lamotta postures up.

Ground and pound from Lamotta. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lamotta tries to pass the half guard into mount. Phooey knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Lamotta thows a huge punch but Phooey dodges it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hong Kong Phooey dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The crowd cheers as Lamotta lands an impressive looking overhand right. Phooey doesn't seem phased though. A head kick misses from Phooey.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lamotta does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Nice shot lands for Lamotta. Phooey misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lamotta.
Phooey stuns Lamotta with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Lamotta tries to move into range but Phooey moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Phooey is looking to wear down Lamotta with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. A nice leg kick lands there from Phooey. Phooey keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Phooey scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lamotta doesn't seem bothered though. Phooey connects with a body shot that sends Lamotta's belly button to the back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lamotta throws the left hand but Phooey avoids the punch easily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Phooey fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Phooey with a nice cross. Phooey rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lamotta moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hong Kong Phooey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lamotta throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Phooey's waist but Phooey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lamotta off to one side. Phooey misses with a kick to the body.
Hong Kong Phooey is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lamotta digs a good body shot into Phooey's ribs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Phooey. Phooey avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Phooey misses with a head kick.
Lamotta misses with a straight left. Phooey tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lamotta throws a wild body kick that Phooey sees coming a mile off. Phooey misses with a head kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lamotta throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Phooey misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lamotta checks a leg kick. Phooey shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Lamotta on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Phooey wants to clinch. Phooey takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hong Kong Phooey dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Lamotta throws a jab when Phooey was well out of range. Phooey feints and then cracks Lamotta's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lamotta down. Phooey tries to clinch but Lamotta is having none of it. An inside leg kick from Phooey misses. Hong Kong Phooey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lamotta throws a leg kick but Phooey sees it coming and checks it nicely. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lamotta, as that shot connected.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lamotta looks to land a right hand but Phooey moved out of range. Phooey is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Hong Kong Phooey is winning the standup battle so far. Phooey swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Phooey gets caught flat footed, as Lamotta shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Lamotta trying to control but Phooey is working from the bottom. Lamotta has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lamotta postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lamotta's corner. There ya go! There ya go! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. That's two minutes gone in the round. Phooey is looking to stand up but Lamotta isn't so interested in that idea. Lamotta scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Lamotta stops Phooey from standing up. Lamotta works a leg free and moves into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Phooey won't allow Lamotta to pass to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lamotta moves nicely into side control. Lamotta is looking to take a break and control but Phooey is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Phooey parries the strikes from Lamotta easily there. Lamotta is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Phooey to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lamotta working the ground and pound but Phooey is defending the strikes. Lamotta creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Phooey sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lamotta takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Lamotta misses with a head shot. Phooey uses the momentum to regain guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Phooey utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lamotta scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Lamotta with a flurry of punches that miss. Jake Lamotta has got the better of the ground game so far. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lamotta looking to sit in guard and control but Phooey gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Phooey has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Lamotta to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Phooey is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Lamotta pulls down on the head and he's put Phooey to sleep! This one is all over!
