The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Achilles takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Markson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Achilles moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A solid leg kick lands there for Achilles.
Achilles throws a chopping leg kick but Markson manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
A nice combination there by Markson.
Markson throws a hook but Achilles avoids it easily.
Achilles fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Markson throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Markson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Achilles tries to close the distance and clinch but Markson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Achilles fails with a takedown attempt.
Markson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Nice sprawl there from Markson as Achilles shoots in.
John Markson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brutus Achilles.
Achilles is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Markson just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Achilles has gone limp and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). John Markson!
A very excited looking John Markson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
