Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matheus Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keith Kade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emelianenko comes into the arena with Enea Vollare Mezzo blaring out of the sound system. Keith Kade is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Keith Kade! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kade lands a head kick!
It looks like Matheus Emelianenko has been cut. Emelianenko shoots in but Kade avoids the takedown attempt easily. Kade is looking to clinch. Keith Kade seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Emelianenko tries to keep at a distance but Kade has taken the fight into the clinch. A nice glancing elbow lands by Kade. Emelianenko blocks an elbow strike from Kade.
Emelianenko has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kade avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Kade working aggressively here.
Kade unloads a knee to the mid-section. This has been an exciting period of action! Kade crunches a lovely knee into Emelianenko's ribcage. Emelianenko is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Kade is defending well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matheus Emelianenko. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kade tries to work over Emelianenko's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Kade lands an elbow inside that Emelianenko shrugs off. Kade lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
