Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Barnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Goro Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barnett kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Catch Is as Catch can Iam CATCHISCAN MAN!. Gracie is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Slaughtered by PANTERA. This should be fireworks!

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnett listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Barnett throws a good cross that connects.
Gracie fails with the takedown
and Barnett counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Barnett scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Barnett missing with a left hand there. Gracie was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Gracie tries to move into range but Barnett moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown. Barnett tries to sprawl out of it but Gracie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Barnett manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gracie looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Josh Barnett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Goro Gracie.

and Barnett connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Barnett bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gracie's head.
Josh Barnett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Barnett scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Barnett throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
The fighters circle momentarily. Barnett darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Barnett is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Gracie is rocked!
Barnett fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Gracie is still on wobbly legs! Can Barnett finish him?
Barnett lands a jab to Gracie's midsection.
Gracie looks gassed!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Barnett fakes the body blow, causing Gracie to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Gracie goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Josh Barnett!
After winning the bout, Josh Barnett thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
