Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pixar Bonan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalle Schwensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bonan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Morbid Angel - Immortal Rites. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kalle Schwensen!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Eliza Hachem and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Schwensen misses.
Bonan throws a half hearted mid kick.
Schwensen throws the left hand but Bonan avoids the punch easily.
Bonan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Schwensen fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Schwensen swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Schwensen throws an overhand right that lands on Bonan's shoulder, as Bonan tries to avoid the shot.
Schwensen misses with an uppercut.
Schwensen slips a jab and a cross from Bonan.
Bonan tries to work over Schwensen's front leg with a kick but Schwensen checks it.
Schwensen throws a sloppy body shot

and Bonan holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Bonan creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Schwensen wants a takedown but no success here.
Schwensen drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Pixar Bonan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kalle Schwensen.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Bonan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Schwensen checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Schwensen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bonan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Schwensen somewhat.

It looks like Kalle Schwensen has been cut.
Bonan throws a sloppy head kick and Schwensen moves out of range easily.
Schwensen showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bonan.
Bonan looks to land a combination but Schwensen avoids it well.
Bonan moves out of range of the strikes.
Schwensen is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Bonan is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Bonan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Schwensen throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Bonan lands with a shot to the body.
Schwensen connects with a single shot there.
Bonan stuffs the takedown attempt from Schwensen. Schwensen gets slowly back to his feet.

Bonan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Schwensen, pushing him back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Schwensen's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Schwensen wants to take the fight to the mat but Bonan manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Schwensen wants to stall.
Schwensen has Bonan pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bonan manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Schwensen has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bonan avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Bonan breaks from the clinch.

Bonan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Bonan lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Bonan prevents the takedown attempt.

A bit of stalling here from Bonan.
Schwensen is trying to stall.

Bonan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bonan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Schwensen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bonan takes one to the side of the head.
Bonan misses with a kick to the body.
Bonan tries to bum rush Schwensen with a series of wild strikes but Schwensen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Bonan counters with a stiff right hand.
Schwensen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Schwensen throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bonan was covering up waiting for the punch and Schwensen finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Bonan is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bonan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Schwensen.
Schwensen won't allow Bonan to get back to his feet.
Bonan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Schwensen is one step ahead there.
Schwensen throws a big right hand that misses.
Bonan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Schwensen works his way to full guard. Good work.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Schwensen is trying to keep Bonan in close.

Bonan gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bonan slips under a jab.
Schwensen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bonan sprawls well. Bonan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Schwensen gets slowly back to his feet.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Pixar Bonan will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Bonan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Schwensen misses with a right hand
and Bonan counters with a three punch combo that has Schwensen backing up. Schwensen nods at Bonan to acknowledge the strikes.
Bonan avoids the body shot from Schwensen.
Schwensen might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Schwensen circles away from the clinch attempt.

Bonan pushes Schwensen up against the cage in a clinch.
Schwensen fails to pull the fight into his guard.
The referee calls for Bonan to work.
Bonan digs a right hand underneath Schwensen's ribcage. Schwensen let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Schwensen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Schwensen dodges the punch combination from Bonan.
Bonan scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Schwensen doesn't seem bothered though.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A combination from Bonan does no damage.
Bonan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Schwensen circles away quickly and effectively.
Bonan lands a right hook to the body.

Bonan lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Schwensen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bonan's waist but Bonan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Schwensen off to one side.

Schwensen get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Schwensen stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Bonan runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
