Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michael Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aki Sunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cole comes to the cage accompanied by Michael Cole's Entrance music. Sunn has chosen Yngwie Malmsteen Rising Force as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jorge Garcia and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sunn tries a head kick but it misses.
Sunn swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sunn takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Cole jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Cole lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sunn circles away quickly and effectively.
Sunn misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cole.
Sunn uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cole.
Cole throws a right and a left that both miss.
Cole shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Cole throws out a loose jab but Sunn uses good head movement to avoid it.
Cole blocks a head kick by Sunn.
Cole looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Cole scores with a hook to the body. Sunn takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Cole looks to score with a jab to the body but Sunn is just out of range.
Cole punishes Sunn's body with a nice straight punch.
Sunn lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Cole takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sunn tests Cole's chin there with a solid looking shot.

and Sunn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Cole thows a left - swing and a miss!
Cole shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Sunn fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cole sprawls well initially but Sunn persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Cole blocking the ground and pound attempt from Sunn.
Sunn content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Sunn tries to pass the half guard into mount. Cole knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cole is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Sunn scores with a couple of nice shots.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sunn is trying to control. Cole wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Sunn slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Oh Cole is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sunn is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Sunn lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Sunn gets to his feet and stands over Cole, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Cole felt that one! Sunn unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Cole from any more punishment!
