Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jasmin Hosic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Travis Nelson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jasmin Hosic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Travis Nelson! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Steven Brown and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nelson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nelson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hosic sprawls well. Hosic wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nelson gets slowly back to his feet. Hosic misses with a jab, cross combination.

and Nelson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hosic won't be happy with that. Nelson creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Hosic is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Nelson has just dragged him back down to the mat. Hosic trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Nelson tries to advance to mount but can't. Nelson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hosic to his feet. Nelson drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nelson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Nelson slips nicely into half guard. Nelson working the head and body with strikes. Nelson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Nelson working the head and body with strikes. Hosic wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nelson seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Hosic is looking to escape. Hosic is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nelson not doing much here.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Nelson decides to return to a standing position. Hosic rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nelson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nelson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hosic to the ground. Nelson is now in Hosic's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nelson trying to control the position from guard on top but Hosic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nelson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Nelson gets to his feet. Hosic looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! No joy there for Hosic, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nelson is looking to clinch. Nelson shoots in for a double leg but Hosic sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. The fight moves into the clinch position. Nelson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Hosic regains guard immediately.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nelson won't allow Hosic to get back to his feet. Nelson wants to control from the top but Hosic keeps moving. Nelson prevents Hosic from getting back to his feet. Nelson content to stall in guard here. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Travis Nelson. Nelson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hosic tries to avoid it but Nelson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hosic to the ground. Hosic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jasmin Hosic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Travis Nelson.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nelson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hosic was well out of range. Poor timing from Nelson. Hosic looks to land a combination but Nelson avoids it well. Hosic throws a right hand that Nelson ducks under and follows up with a left that Nelson also avoids with ease. Nelson fails with an attempt to clinch.

and Nelson counters with a one-two to the body. Jasmin Hosic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nelson shoots in and gets a takedown into Hosic's guard. Nelson trying to control but Hosic is working from the bottom. Nelson stops Hosic from standing up. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Nelson passes into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Well, if Nelson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Nelson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hosic knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Travis Nelson dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Hosic throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nelson. Nelson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Hosic manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Hosic throws a right and a left that both miss. Hosic throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Danga de danga de dang - Hosic scores with a four punch combination! Nelson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Nelson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Nelson looking to control and managing it successfully. Hosic is trying to stand. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nelson lands a heavy elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nelson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Hosic has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Hosic's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Nelson working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Hosic turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Nelson off and cradles Hosic's limp body as Nelson celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Travis Nelson!
