The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kennedy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mcneil pinned against the cage. Mcneil gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kennedy looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kennedy walks into a straight right hand from Mcneil.

Kennedy walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Mcneil decides to stand up, so the ref orders Kennedy to his feet.
Oh Kennedy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mcneil thuds his shin into the meat of Kennedy's side.

Kennedy could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Mcneil has Kennedy up against the cage in a clinch.

Mcneil looks to score with a jab to the body but Kennedy is just out of range.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Kennedy. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Mcneil stalks Kennedy and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kennedy's face. Kennedy staggers backwards, shaken.
Trevor Mcneil is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mcneil keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kennedy slips a jab and a cross from Mcneil.

Mcneil drives through and clinches with Kennedy against the cage.

Kennedy drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Mcneil is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kennedy has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kennedy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mcneil keeps working.

Kennedy working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Mcneil bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Kennedy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mcneil looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Mcneil is pushing Kennedy's head away, looking to escape. Kennedy manages to hold on to the position though.

Kennedy is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Mcneil is trying to escape and Kennedy transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Mcneil is forced to tap! Nice work there by Kennedy! Very nice indeed!
