Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Justin Matthews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinji Tanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matthews comes to the cage accompanied by Remember Everything. Tanaka is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Yuudachi. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanaka shoots in for a double leg but Matthews sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Matthews looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Tanaka fakes the leg kick and cracks Matthews in the body.

Tanaka forces Matthews back against the cage and clinches.
Tanaka is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Matthews gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Matthews gets underhooks to prevent Tanaka's takedown attempt.
Justin Matthews has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shinji Tanaka.
Tanaka goes for a takedown in the clinch but Matthews prevents it.

Tanaka gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Tanaka throws a big elbow that misses.
Tanaka landing some decent shots from guard.

Matthews is looking to stand up but Tanaka isn't so interested in that idea.

After the fight, Shinji Tanaka was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
