Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Arnlovski! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arnlovski throws a nice head kick!
It looks like Jim Sosa has been cut. Sosa moves in looking to clinch but Arnlovski pushes him off. Arnlovski closes the distance and clinches. Sosa takes an elbow to the temple. Arnlovski is trying to force a seperation but Sosa has the dominant position. Arnlovski taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Sosa is trying to pull guard but Arnlovski has him pressed against the cage. Arnlovski pulls guard. Sosa wants to get up but he can't break Arnlovski's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Sosa postures up.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sosa is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Arnlovski is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arnlovski pulls Sosa in close to prevent any damage.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Alexander Arnlovski. Arnlovski lands a jab-cross combination. Arnlovski dives in and scores a takedown into Sosa's guard. Sosa looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sosa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Arnlovski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Arnlovski stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arnlovski fails with a takedown attempt. Sosa shoots for a double leg takedown but Arnlovski sprawls well. He's pushed Sosa's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. This has been an exciting period of action! Sosa tries to clinch up. Arnlovski fails with a takedown attempt. Arnlovski takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Arnlovski looks gassed! Sosa misses with a double jab
and Arnlovski counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A head kick misses from Arnlovski. Sosa throws a sloppy head kick and Arnlovski moves out of range easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sosa shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Sosa. That's going to take a lot out of him. A head kick misses from Arnlovski. Arnlovski wants to clinch up but Sosa keeps it at a distance. Arnlovski fails with the takedown. Sosa pushes Arnlovski away with a front kick. Sosa blocks a head kick by Arnlovski.
Sosa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sosa throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Arnlovski. Arnlovski has closed the distance and engaged Sosa in a clinch.
Sosa really is a fat lump.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sosa is trying to break the clinch but Arnlovski is controlling him. Arnlovski has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sosa uses from the top position. Arnlovski preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Arnlovski working for a triangle but Sosa defends it easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sosa gets to his feet. Arnlovski looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sosa stuffs the takedown. Sosa shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Arnlovski tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Sosa is controlling the pace.
Sosa thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arnlovski is trying to maintain the position but Sosa is very close to passing his half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sosa seems to be working for a kimura but Arnlovski defends the submission attempt. Arnlovski moves into full guard.
Sosa stands up from Arnlovski's guard - Sosa perhaps looking for a knockout. Arnlovski circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sosa darts in and clinches Arnlovski up against the cage. Sosa has Arnlovski pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Arnlovski manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sosa taking a breather. Arnlovski breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Arnlovski shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Arnlovski seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sosa does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Alexander Arnlovski wasn't active enough on the ground. Arnlovski lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Sosa closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Sosa is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Arnlovski is defending well. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Sosa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Arnlovski keeps working. Sosa is looking to pass Arnlovski's guard but actually Arnlovski recovers to full guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sosa trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Arnlovski takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Sosa is looking for a kimura but Arnlovski is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sosa to get the leverage. Sosa throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Arnlovski is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sosa's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sosa's back! Arnlovski wants to control but Sosa is keeping busy. Sosa might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Arnlovski is trying to stick to Sosa's back but Sosa is turning into Arnlovski. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Arnlovski's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Sosa. Sosa's corner is telling him to maintain position. Arnlovski trying to keep a closed guard but Sosa is proving a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Arnlovski controlling Sosa's posture. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Sosa postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Sosa postures up.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Alexander Arnlovski hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Nice shot by Sosa. Sosa wants to clinch. Sosa looks for a takedown but Arnlovski sprawls well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sosa closes the distance but Arnlovski moves to the side and Arnlovski counters with a good low kick that Sosa was not able to check. Arnlovski misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Jim Sosa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexander Arnlovski. Arnlovski swats away the attempt to clinch by Sosa. Nice uppercut there from Arnlovski. Arnlovski drives through with a takedown into Sosa's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Sosa has control of Arnlovski's left arm, preventing Arnlovski from doing any damage. Sosa looking for a sweep. Not yet Sosa, not yet.

Sosa is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Arnlovski is aware though and is defending well. Arnlovski is pushing down on Sosa's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sosa is fighting to maintain full guard but Arnlovski has managed to sneak the leg through. Arnlovski is nestled in close to Sosa, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Sosa wants to control but Arnlovski is keeping busy and won't allow it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Arnlovski postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Sosa to stand up. Jim Sosa has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Alexander Arnlovski is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Sosa ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Alexander Arnlovski. Well Arnlovski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
