Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kit Cobana!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hendo gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Cobana pulls guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Hendo is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Cobana utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hendo postures up and lands a big shot to Cobana's brow.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hendo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Hendo stands up and waves to Cobana to follow him.

Hendo closes the distance and clinches.
Cobana has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hendo after a bit of a struggle.
Cobana can't break the clinch.

Hendo wants the takedown. Cobana is fighting it off but Hendo persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Cobana's guard against the cage.

Hendo slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Hendo is in close to Cobana's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Cobana is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Hendo is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cobana has momentary wrist control but Hendo slips an elbow through the middle.
Hendo passes into half guard.
Hendo looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Hendo lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Hendo takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Hendo drops an elbow to the side of Cobana's head.
Hendo not doing much here.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hendo lands a nice short elbow.
Hendo seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Hendo is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Nice strikes from Hendo there.
Hendo uses his free foot to push down on Cobana's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Cobana.

Hendo is landing with some decent strikes but Cobana is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hendo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Hendo lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Hendo lands a big shot there that rocks Cobana but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.


Cobana is rocked!
Hendo has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Cobana's face.
Cobana is still in real trouble! Can Hendo finish him?
Hendo lands a big elbow.
Hendo postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Cobana bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Hendo and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Danny Hendo!
