Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Randy Best (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nico Parcon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Best kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Party Rock Anthem. 7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nico Parcon! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Russell Pearce and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parcon takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Parcon shoots in and bounces Best off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Parcon throws a big elbow that misses. Parcon throws a big elbow that misses. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Parcon is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Best is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Best has escaped and now he's on top! Best throws a big elbow that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parcon pushes Best off and scrambles back to his feet.
Parcon connects with a body shot. Best throws a right hand that Parcon ducks under and follows up with a left that Parcon also avoids with ease. Parcon fails with a takedown attempt. This has been an exciting period of action! Parcon connects with a jab. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Best throws a right hand that Parcon ducks under and follows up with a left that Parcon also avoids with ease. Parcon pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Best back to the cage. Parcon follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Parcon lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Parcon dives in and grabs Best's left leg, looking for a takedown. Best pushes down on Parcon's head and hops out. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
