The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flynn shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. The Raptor defends it nicely.
The Raptor tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Flynn manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The Raptor wants to clinch.
Flynn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Flynn looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? The Raptor is fending him off so far but Flynn persists. Nope, The Raptor circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Errol Flynn. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Flynn has The Raptor pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Flynn pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending The Raptor tumbling to the mat - Flynn dives into The Raptor's guard.

The Raptor is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The Raptor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Flynn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Flynn is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down The Raptor's shoulder. That is not cool.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if The Raptor can do anything to dispel that myth.

Flynn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Flynn lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear The Raptor down.
Flynn has hold of The Raptor's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! The Raptor tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Flynn cranks the arm and The Raptor screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from The Raptor, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
