Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Piper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Clavelle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clavelle has chosen Hexogram By Deftones as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Clavelle! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Piper shoots in and drives through. Clavelle sprawls well. Piper drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Clavelle wants to get back to his feet. Piper takes a little break here. Clavelle wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Clavelle pushes Piper away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Piper gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Piper in side control, just content to control the action for now. Piper has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Piper looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Clavelle! Piper looking to control but Clavelle is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Piper looking to finish with strikes here!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Piper with a couple of short strikes. Clavelle wants to hold on but Piper pushes him away. Piper controlling his opponent. Clavelle is just holding on here. Piper manages to take his back.

Clavelle should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. The referee is taking a good look at Clavelle as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Piper!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Clavelle is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
I really don't envy Clavelle right now.
Clavelle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Piper. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Will Piper go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Billy Piper dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Piper takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Clavelle tries to keep at a distance but Piper has taken the fight into the clinch. Clavelle prevents a takedown attempt there.
Piper gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Clavelle.

Piper tries to pull guard but Clavelle won't allow it.
Piper wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Clavelle has him pressed against the cage. Piper manages to pull guard.
Piper looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Piper wriggles free and stands up. Daniel Clavelle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Clavelle rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Piper moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Clavelle shoots and misses and Piper counters with a shoot takedown. Clavelle fights it but they end up in guard. Clavelle preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Clavelle not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Piper gets to his feet - Clavelle follows without any prompting. Piper closes the distance and clinches up with Clavelle, looking for a takedown. Piper pushes Clavelle against the cage but Clavelle circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Piper. That's going to take a lot out of him. Clavelle fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Piper on the side of the head. Clavelle looks for a takedown but Piper sprawls well. Piper falls off balance throwing a combination
and Clavelle cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Piper tries to clinch but Clavelle is having none of it. Piper misses with a head kick.
Piper shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Piper was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Piper with good strikes from the mount here! Piper working for a guillotine from mount but Clavelle is in no mood to give up. Piper controlling from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Piper working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Clavelle turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Piper off and cradles Clavelle's limp body as Piper celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Billy Piper!
