Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Connor McManus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dominik Borowiec!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Borowiec finds it's way through McManus's defenses.
Nice shot lands for Borowiec.
Borowiec fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Borowiec swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and McManus counters with a nice leg kick.
McManus shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Borowiec sprawls well. Borowiec wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McManus gets slowly back to his feet.
McManus slips under a jab.
McManus throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Borowiec scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
McManus shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Borowiec defends it nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McManus shoots in and drives through. Borowiec sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Connor McManus. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Borowiec takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.


It looks like Dominik Borowiec has been cut.
Borowiec throws a right hand that McManus ducks under and follows up with a left that McManus also avoids with ease.
Borowiec digs a good hook to McManus's body.
Borowiec throws a jab but it's blocked by McManus.
Borowiec will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McManus looks to land a body kick but Borowiec moved away.
Borowiec misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

McManus closes the distance and pushes Borowiec back into the cage.
Stalling in the clinch from McManus.
McManus lands on the inside with an uppercut.


Borowiec is rocked!
McManus has Borowiec pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Borowiec is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from McManus - that's hurt Borowiec badly! Oh, another knee lands and Borowiec is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Borowiec doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Connor McManus!
