Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Seven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Hagen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Patrick Seven!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tom Hagen!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seven defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hagen.
Hagen misses the shot to the body.
Hagen loads up on a big right hand but Seven slips the punch.
Seven wants to clinch up but Hagen keeps it at a distance.
Seven stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Seven wants it to stay on the feet.
Seven misses with a body kick.
Seven pivots, looking for a leg kick but Hagen is out of range and Seven settles back down.
Hagen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Seven throws a half hearted mid kick.
Seven throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Hagen has a takedown stuffed.
Patrick Seven has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Hagen.
Good work by Seven as he checks the leg kick.
Seven tries for a takedown but Hagen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Seven throws a leg kick but Hagen sees it coming and moves out of range.

Seven forces Hagen back against the cage and clinches.
Hagen blocks a body shot from Seven.
Hagen is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Seven is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hagen is defending well for now.

Seven breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Seven rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hagen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hagen shoots in looking for a takedown. Seven tries to sprawl out of it but Hagen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Seven manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hagen uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Seven.

Hagen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Seven is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hagen defends well.

Hagen wants to pass the guard but Seven is keeping the position.
Seven is looking to sweep but instead, Hagen has passed into half guard.
Hagen works his foot free and advances to mount.
Hagen lands a big elbow.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Seven shoots in and drives through. Hagen sprawls well.
Hagen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Seven was well out of range. Poor timing from Hagen.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hagen goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Seven is on top in guard.

Hagen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Seven's guard.
Hagen pushes down on Seven's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Seven wants to get back to full guard.

Hagen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hagen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Seven does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Seven moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Hagen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Tom Hagen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!


Hagen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Seven but Seven pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hagen has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Seven.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hagen is defended easily by Seven.
Seven lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Seven throws the kick towards the body but Hagen avoids it.
Seven tries to land a front kick but Hagen steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Seven throws out a loose jab but Hagen uses good head movement to avoid it.

Seven has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hagen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hagen stays in close to Seven's body and controls the position.
Hagen postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Seven pushes a forearm under Hagen's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Hagen is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
