Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Pinto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerome Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fisher has chosen Anberlin - Feel Good Drag as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pinto displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fisher.
A telegraphed right hand from Fisher misses the target.
Pinto pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Pinto ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fisher moves away.
Pinto closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pinto lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Pinto throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Pinto sitting in guard, not really doing much.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fisher can do anything to dispel that myth.
Pinto keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Fisher's head.
Pinto trying to control the position from guard on top but Fisher is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Pinto throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fisher works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pinto is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Pinto won't allow Fisher to sweep him here.

Pinto wants to control from the top but Fisher keeps moving.
Pinto drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Pinto seems to have locked his on tight now - Fisher screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Pinto, as he picks up the win!
