Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taj Mahal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kim Jong Il (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Taj Mahal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kim Jong Il! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mahal takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Il misses with the combination.
Mahal throws a low kick but Il moves out of range easily. Mahal gets tackled into the cage by Il. Il maintains the clinch. Mahal is fighting off a takedown attempt but Il is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Mahal to the mat. Mahal regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Il wants to control from the top but Mahal keeps moving. Il drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Il jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Il trying to control the position from guard on top but Mahal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Il is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Mahal is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Il drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Il jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Mahal is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Il trying to control but Mahal is working from the bottom. Il stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mahal swivels though and keeps the full guard. Il drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Il jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Il preventing the sweep. Mahal escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Il gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Il stays in close to Mahal's body and controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mahal not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Il thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Il looking to sit in guard and control but Mahal gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Il is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Il keeping moving, preventing Mahal from controlling successfully. Il looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Il can't keep his opponent in guard - Mahal advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Il actively working from the bottom here. Il is not content to let Mahal control the position. Il looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Mahal is looking for a kimura here.
Il works his way to full guard. Good work. Il keeping moving, preventing Mahal from controlling successfully. Il looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Il has his foot on Mahal's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mahal works his way back into a safe position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Il looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Mahal is posturing up here but Il has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Mahal tries to roll out but it's too tight and Mahal has to tap! Slick submission there by Il!
