Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joey Tuffnuts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spike Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joey Tuffnuts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Spike Silva! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Paulo Santos and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tuffnuts moves into the clinch. Silva is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Tuffnuts pulls him back up using the underhooks. Silva is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Silva wants a takedown but no success here.
Joey Tuffnuts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spike Silva. Silva is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Tuffnuts gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Tuffnuts is trying to trip Silva. He has hold of a leg but Silva is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Tuffnuts persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Tuffnuts is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Tuffnuts drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tuffnuts jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tuffnuts doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tuffnuts manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Tuffnuts pushes down on Silva's leg and manages to get into half guard. Silva is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Tuffnuts is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Tuffnuts looking to pass the guard. Tuffnuts throws a big right hand that misses. Tuffnuts pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Silva is keeping the position for now. Tuffnuts really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Silva wants to sweep but no luck.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Silva changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tuffnuts looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Tuffnuts tries to buck Silva off but Silva is having none of it. Silva has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Tuffnuts is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Silva yanks on the arm and Tuffnuts is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Silva.
