Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rob Coogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Cutting (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rob Coogan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Bill Cutting! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coogan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Coogan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cutting as he avoids it easily. Cutting lands a jab to Coogan's midsection. Cutting rushes Coogan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Coogan is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Cutting is keeping busy. Cutting pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Nice body punch from Cutting. Cutting tries to clinch but Coogan moves out of range. Cutting forces Coogan back against the cage and clinches. Cutting escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cutting moves into range and clinches up with Coogan. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cutting prevents a takedown attempt there.
Cutting breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Cutting lands a nice hook to Coogan's body. Coogan takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Coogan is breathing heavily.

Cutting feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Coogan sprawling to the canvas! Coogan rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Cutting finish him?!
It looks like Rob Coogan has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cutting clinches with his opponent.

Coogan gets tackled into the cage by Cutting. Cutting maintains the clinch. Coogan has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Cutting breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Cutting wants to clinch up but Coogan keeps it at a distance.

Bill Cutting seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fight stays on the outside here - Cutting looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Coogan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cutting wants to get back to his feet but Coogan drags him back down. Coogan is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Cutting is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Cutting is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Coogan is controlling him well. Cutting parries the strikes from Coogan easily there. Coogan is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Cutting to escape.
Coogan throws an elbow but Cutting slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coogan trying to control the action but Cutting is working from the bottom. Coogan swings around for an armbar but Cutting sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Coogan's guard. Cutting tries to stand but Coogan is controlling from the bottom. Coogan is working an open guard so Cutting takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Cutting tries to clinch there but Coogan circles away.
Coogan throws a big shot that misses. Cutting rushes Coogan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Cutting avoiding damage as Coogan throws knees to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Coogan is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Cutting breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Coogan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cutting. Cutting tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Coogan gets tackled into the cage by Cutting. Cutting maintains the clinch. Coogan is looking to take this one to the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rob Coogan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bill Cutting seems to be getting the better of the standup. Cutting fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Coogan, pushing him back against the cage. Cutting prevents a takedown attempt there.

Cutting tests Coogan's chin there with a solid looking shot. Sloppy strikes from Cutting. Those never looked like landing. A punch combination from Cutting misses. Coogan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cutting.

Cutting has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Coogan tries to score a body lock takedown but Cutting shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Bill Cutting is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cutting tries to close the distance and clinch but Coogan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Cutting throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Coogan tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Cutting throws a lazy right hand but Coogan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Cutting tries to clinch there but Coogan circles away.
Cutting works Coogan's body with a nice hook. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cutting cracks Coogan with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Coogan looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Cutting finish him?
Coogan is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cutting has taken the fight to the clinch.

Coogan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
