Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Stanley Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cam Kran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stanley Stone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cam Kran! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stone drives through with a takedown into guard. Kran looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stone is one step ahead there. Kran utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Stone drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Stone jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Stone stopping the sweep attempt from Kran. Stone drops back for a leg! Stone loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Stone is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Kran looking for a guillotine here but Stone defends easily.

Kran is not content to let Stone control the position. Stone stalling away here and it's allowed Kran to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kran throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Stone escapes and throws Kran's legs to the side, diving into side control! Kran tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Stone wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Stone content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stone tries to move to mount but Kran blocks the move with his legs. Stone is working hard here to advance position. Kran regains half guard. Kran wants to get back to full guard. Stone is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Kran is trying to maintain the position but Stone is very close to passing his half guard. Stone works his foot free and advances to mount. Stone takes Kran's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Kran is in trouble.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stone working for a choke but Kran is defending well. Stone is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Kran knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Kran for a finish. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kran rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kran is trying to maintain the position but Stone is very close to passing his half guard. Stone slaps away a takedown attempt from Kran, before circling back to the center of the mat. Stone throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kran was covering up waiting for the punch and Stone finishes the takedown easily into guard. Kran wants to sweep but no luck. Stone wants to control from the top but Kran keeps moving. Kran pulls Stone in close to prevent any damage. Stone controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Kran wants to sweep here but Stone controlling him for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone advances position into side control! Stone misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Kran can't do much from the bottom here. Stone is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Kran will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Stone is working Kran over with some ground and pound from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kran looks to move to half guard but instead Stone has passed into mount! Damn! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stone looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Stone wants to finish this one by submission but Kran is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Stone. Stone looking to finish Kran with some ground and pound. This is bad for Kran! Stone swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kran is now in Stone's guard. A big mistake from Stone there, giving up the dominant position! Kran trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Stone throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Stone will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kran makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Stone preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Stone managing to control the position. Stone has momentary wrist control but Kran slips an elbow through the middle. Kran works a leg free and moves into half guard. Kran looks to land a strike but Stone avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Kran with a flurry of punches that miss. Kran throws a big right hand that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kran is in close to Stone's body, working some short punches and elbows. Stone is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Stone is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kran landing with the ground and pound. Kran chips away with some ground and pound. Kran must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kran throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Stanley Stone overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kran scores with a decent looking elbow strike. It looks like Cam Kran has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stone thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Kran is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Stanley Stone is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Stone sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Stone is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kran to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kran shrugs it off. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kran is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Stanley Stone. Well Stone has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
