The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salvador wants to clinch. Hall will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Salvador throws a low kick, looking for Hall's leg but Hall calmly moves out of range. No luck with that takedown attempt from Salvador. Salvador moves into the clinch successfully.
Salvador stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Salvador has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hall is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Salvador gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Hall keeping moving, preventing Salvador from controlling successfully. Salvador wants to work for an arm triangle but Hall is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Good standup being displayed there by Hall as he connects with a hook. Hall takes a swing at Salvador's ribcage but misses. Hall lands with a nice body punch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hall lands a jab to Salvador's midsection. Salvador on the wrong end of a nice jab. Salvador moves into range and clinches up with Hall. Salvador is looking for a takedown. Salvador is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Hall to keep the fight standing. Hall tries to break the clinch but Salvador is controlling the position. Salvador escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Salvador fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hall avoids it really well and circles away. Salvador wants to clinch up but Hall keeps it at a distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Salvador is defended easily by Hall. Hall tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Hall throws a right hand that Salvador ducks under and follows up with a left that Salvador also avoids with ease. Salvador tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hall shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Hall cracks Salvador with a good jab. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Salvador has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Salvador there as he acknowledges the shot. Hall will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Tony Hall showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Salvador's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Hall manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marco Salvador. Hall connects with a body shot that sends Salvador's belly button to the back. Hall connects with a body shot. No joy there for Hall, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tony Hall is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hall throws a looping overhand right but Salvador ducks down to avoid it. Hall lands a nice hook to Salvador's body. Salvador takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Hall throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Hall scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Hall is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Salvador shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hall is looking to stand back up but Salvador counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Hall. Salvador is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hall is just riding it out for now. Salvador eventually gives up the hold. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Salvador is controlling the pace.
Salvador wants to control but Hall is keeping him busy.

Salvador is looking to take a break and control but Hall is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Salvador moves into full mount! Hall won't be happy about that! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hall is trying to stand. Hall working to try and regain half guard.
Salvador can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hall is looking to escape. Hall really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Salvador. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Salvador tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Marco Salvador. I think Salvador has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
