Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alfonso Sosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sosa comes into the arena with Saliva - Ladies and Gentlemen blaring out of the sound system. Rua has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sosa ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Sosa avoids a kick to the body.
Rua keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sosa.
Rua throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sosa sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Rua takes a jab right on the kisser.
Rua looks gassed!
Sosa lands with an overhand left.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rua will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Rua changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sosa tries to avoid it but Rua manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sosa to the ground. Sosa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sosa measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Rua! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Alfonso Sosa!
A pretty intense looking Alfonso Sosa took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
