The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pearson tries to score a body lock takedown but Rudd shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Pearson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rudd walks away with a smile on his face. Pearson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Rudd closes the distance and clinches.
Pearson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rudd avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Rudd's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Jason Rudd seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Pearson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Rudd gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Pearson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Rudd after a bit of a struggle.

Pearson is rocked!
Rudd unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Pearson! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Rudd is unloading with more strikes now! Pearson drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jason Rudd!

A less than humble Jason Rudd misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
