Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Van Wilder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnny Chase is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Van Wilder! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Johnny Chase! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilder slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
It looks like Johnny Chase has been cut. Wilder uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Chase. Wilder cracks Chase with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Chase looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Chase checks a low kick from Wilder. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Wilder misses with a series of wild punches.
Chase shoots in looking for a takedown. Wilder tries to sprawl out of it but Chase keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wilder manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Wilder ducks under a wild hook from Chase. Wilder feints and as Chase raises his hands in defense, Wilder changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Wilder tries to free his leg and advance position but Chase is retaining full guard. Wilder gets to his feet - Chase follows without any prompting. Chase misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wilder.
Chase shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wilder as he avoids it easily. Chase looks gassed! Chase looks to land a left hand but Wilder moved out of range nicely. Chase tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wilder swats him away and circles back towards the center. Wilder misses with a two punch combination.
Wilder lands a left and a right that sends Chase crashing to the canvas! Wilder dives into mount looking to finish!
Chase is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wilder looking to control and managing it successfully. Chase is still in real trouble! Can Wilder finish him? Wilder's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilder gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Chase seems to have recovered his senses. Wilder lands a left and a right that sends Chase crashing to the canvas! Wilder dives into mount looking to finish! Chase is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Wilder looking to control and managing it successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wilder seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Chase for as long as he can get away with. Wilder working for a guillotine from mount but Chase is in no mood to give up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wilder stands up from mount. Strange move. Wilder lands with a thumping leg kick.
Wilder lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Wilder. Nice takedown defense from Wilder. No joy for Chase on that attempt. Van Wilder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Chase. Chase closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Wilder is pushing Chase's head away, looking to escape. Chase manages to hold on to the position though. Chase decides to stand back up. Wilder works over Chase's head and body with a nice combination. Wilder shoots in for a double leg but Chase sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Wilder misses with a two punch combination.
Chase scores with a nice right hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilder throws a right hand that Chase ducks under and follows up with a left that Chase also avoids with ease. A right-left combo lands from Chase. Wilder throws a series of punches but Chase moves out of range. Wilder gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Chase listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Chase scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Wilder looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Chase swinging wilding here.
Wilder will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Wilder misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wilder will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Chase counters with a lovely straight right hand! Wilder scores with a sloppy right hand. Chase should have avoided that one. Wilder looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Wilder throws a series of punches but Chase avoids them all with ease. Wilder fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Chase throws out a loose jab but Wilder uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wilder throws a series of punches but Chase moves out of range. Chase looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Chase fails with the takedown and Wilder counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Chase falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Van Wilder!
