Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Flavius Aetius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Flavius Aetius!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jake Foster!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foster lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Aetius shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Foster is trying to escape the mount.
Aetius putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Aetius looking to control and managing it successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Foster really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Aetius lands a heavy elbow.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Aetius pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Foster is wriggling around trying to escape.
Aetius scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Foster?
Foster is trying to stand up.
Foster tries to reverse the position but Aetius maintains control.

Aetius working for a submission but Foster is keeping him at bay.

Foster is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Aetius can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Foster is looking to escape.
Aetius is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Foster can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Foster is in a horrible position here. Aetius smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Foster tries to lock up and control but Aetius gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Aetius is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Foster has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Foster is looking to get to half guard.

Aetius takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Foster tries to hold on but Aetius pushes him away.
Aetius wants to control the pace but Foster is squirming around nicely.
Foster tries to improve his position but instead Aetius has taken his back!
Aetius punches Foster on the ear.
I really don't envy Foster right now.
Foster turns into Aetius and is now in his guard.

Foster trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Aetius is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Foster is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Aetius is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Foster trying to control but Aetius is working from the bottom.
Foster looking to sit in guard and control but Aetius gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Aetius tries to free his leg and advance position but Foster is retaining full guard.
Aetius has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Foster looking to hit a scissor sweep but Aetius is one step ahead there.
Foster trying to control the position.
Foster wants to sweep but no luck.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jake Foster.
Aetius uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Foster.

Aetius closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Aetius lands in his opponent's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Aetius wants to control from the top but Foster keeps moving.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Foster is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Foster has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Aetius off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Flavius Aetius dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Aetius slips a jab from Foster.
Foster throws a right and a left that both miss.
Foster wants to clinch up but Aetius keeps it at a distance.
Aetius connects with a leg kick. Foster looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Aetius lands a nice leg kick that just misses Foster's sensitive parts.
Foster tries to close the distance and clinch up but Aetius swats him away and circles back towards the center.
An inside leg kick lands from Aetius.
Foster takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Foster blocks a head kick by Aetius.
Foster misses with an uppercut. Aetius saw that one coming.
A head kick misses from Aetius.
Aetius dives in and grabs Foster's left leg, looking for a takedown. Foster pushes down on Aetius's head and hops out.
Some wild striking there from Foster.
Aetius scores with a kick to the midsection.
Foster throws a head kick but Aetius moves out of range.
Foster fails with the takedown.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Aetius throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Foster tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Aetius is in Foster's guard.
Foster is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Aetius dives into side control.
Foster regains half guard.
Foster is breathing heavily.
Foster trying to control from the bottom.
Aetius trying to control the action but Foster is working from the bottom.
Aetius looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Aetius works his way into side control.
Foster is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Aetius is working for a submission of some sort.
Aetius has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Foster is desperately trying to improve his position but Aetius has a good base and remains in mount.
Aetius avoids the attempt from Foster to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aetius lands a nice shot to the head.
Foster wants to control but Aetius is having none of it.
Foster working to try and regain half guard.
Foster wants to control but Aetius is having none of it.

Aetius quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Aetius but it's paid off an Foster is forced to tap! Nice work by Aetius.
