A fine choice. Sackett is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bad To the Bone. Wandeco Silva could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Nolan Sackett's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva drops his hands momentarily and Sackett takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Sackett swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Silva throws a sloppy head kick and Sackett moves out of range easily.
Silva has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sackett finds it's way round the side to connect with Silva's head.
Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Sackett cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Wandeco Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd cheers as Sackett lands an impressive looking overhand right. Silva doesn't seem phased though.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sackett sprawls well. Sackett wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Silva gets slowly back to his feet.

Silva throws a low kick but Sackett avoids it.
Silva fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sackett on the side of the head.
Sackett lands a really nice looking cross but Silva seems unphased.

and Sackett counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Sackett is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Silva had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Sackett misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Silva shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sackett defends it nicely.
Sackett has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Silva closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Silva throws a push kick but Sackett slaps the foot to one side.

Sackett swings for the body but Silva moves out of range.
Wandeco Silva is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Silva fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sackett manages to avoid it.
Sackett misses with a double jab.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sackett crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Silva - the referee stops the clock and Sackett gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Silva. Sackett manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Silva is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Sackett is still in real trouble! Can Silva finish him?

Silva avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sackett seems to have recovered his senses.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Wandeco Silva wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Sackett chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Silva can pounce on him.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sackett throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Silva throws a powerful right kick. Sackett tried to block low but the kick was high! Sackett was taken right off of his feet! Silva jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!

A relieved looking Wandeco Silva thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
