Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Reggie Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz has chosen Genetic Jackhammer as his entrance music. Diego Diaz is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reggie Anderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Diego Diaz! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Chad Campbell and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Anderson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Diaz jabbing away but nothing is landing. Anderson looks to throw the jab but Diaz is out of range. Diaz wants to clinch but Anderson slips to the side and Anderson counters with a lovely shot to the body. Diaz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Anderson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Diaz. Diaz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Anderson misses the shot to the body. Diaz ducks under a wild hook from Anderson. Anderson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Diaz.
Nice uppercut lands for Anderson. That snapped Diaz's head back.

Anderson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Diaz was well out of range. Poor timing from Anderson. Diego Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Anderson misses the shot to the body. Diaz wants to clinch but Anderson slips to the side and Anderson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Diaz!
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Anderson wants to free his trapped foot but Diaz is holding on for dear life with his legs. Anderson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Diaz defends it well. Anderson prevents Diaz from improving his position. Diaz holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Diaz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Anderson is controlling the pace.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Diaz can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Nice defenses there by Anderson. Diaz misses with an uppercut
and Anderson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Diaz! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Diaz tries to hold on but Anderson postures up. Anderson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Diaz has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Anderson controlling the position easily from mount. Anderson has hold of Diaz's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Diaz manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diaz wants to control the action here but instead Anderson manages to pass to full mount! Anderson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Diaz to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Diaz shrugs it off. Anderson has control of Diaz's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Diaz regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Anderson looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Diaz wants to control but Anderson is having none of it. Diaz keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Diaz is squirming around, avoiding Anderson's attempts to control the action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diaz pivots, looking for a leg kick but Anderson is out of range and Diaz settles back down. Diaz misses with a straight left. Diaz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Anderson circles away quickly and effectively. Anderson dives in and scores a takedown into Diaz's guard. Anderson with a flurry of punches that miss. Anderson pushing down on Diaz's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Diego Diaz. I think Anderson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
