Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Tysinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clarence Costello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clarence Costello looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Marcus Tysinger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clarence Costello! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Bruno Lombardi and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tysinger darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
It looks like Clarence Costello has been cut. Tysinger looks to score with a jab to the body but Costello is just out of range. Tysinger shoots in and gets a takedown into Costello's guard. Tysinger stands and throws Costello's legs to the side, diving into side control. Tysinger wants to lay and pray for a moment but Costello keeps working. Costello can't do much from the bottom here. Costello is working to avoid the ground and pound but Tysinger connects with a decent elbow. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tysinger trying to control the action but Costello is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tysinger throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tysinger is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Costello will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Costello gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tysinger takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Tysinger tries to control but Costello wriggling away. Costello tries to hold on but Tysinger postures up. Tysinger sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

We're going to have a standup here because Marcus Tysinger wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Costello fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tysinger sprawls well initially but Costello persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Costello wants to control but Tysinger is keeping him busy. Tysinger is looking to improve his position.
Tysinger is working hard here to advance position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Costello looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Costello is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tysinger defends it well. Tysinger makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Tysinger. Tysinger wants to stand up but Costello is controlling him. Tysinger is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Tysinger takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Tysinger has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Costello's face.
The referee warns Costello that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Costello tries to hold on but Tysinger postures up. Tysinger looking to control and managing it successfully. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tysinger with the ground and pound from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcus Tysinger dominated that round. The cut man is working on Clarence Costello's cut. That's time! Tysinger's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Tysinger throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tysinger closes the distance and pushes Costello back into the cage. Tysinger lands with a short shot to the head. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Costello as Tysinger tries to tie him up. Tysinger misses with the head strike.

Costello turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Tysinger is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Tysinger looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Tysinger is pressing down on Costello's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Tysinger lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Costello! Tysinger moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Costello has worked his arm free - good work by Costello!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Costello wants to control from the top but Tysinger keeps moving.

He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Tysinger controlling the action here. Tysinger wants to control but Costello is keeping him busy. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Tysinger is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Costello is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Marcus Tysinger wasn't doing enough on the ground. Tysinger bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tysinger is trying to get an arm triangle but Costello is defending well. The referee asks Tysinger politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Tysinger prefers to stall for the moment though. Marcus Tysinger overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Costello wants to control but Tysinger postures up. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tysinger gets a takedown into half guard. Costello is not content to let Tysinger control the position. Tysinger slows the pace down in half guard. Tysinger's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Tysinger wants to pass to mount but Costello is defending the position. Costello takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Tysinger is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Costello. That's two minutes gone in the round. Tysinger just content to control the position. Tysinger seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Costello for as long as he can get away with. Tysinger decides to stand back up. Tysinger steps back and let's Costello get back to his feet. Tysinger clinches up with Costello and pushes him back against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Costello blocks an uppercut.

Tysinger wants to control from the top but Costello keeps moving. Tysinger drops back looking for a leg! Costello is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Costello manages to kick Tysinger off! Tysinger jumps back into Costello's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tysinger trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Tysinger is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Tysinger pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Costello is keeping the position for now. Clarence Costello has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tysinger trying to control the position from guard on top but Costello is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Costello being controlled here, momentarily.
