Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Omar Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Freddy Lee! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jonathan Paton and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Jackson checks it well. Lee looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Lee throws a leg kick but Jackson sees it coming and moves out of range. Lee throws a series of punches but Jackson moves out of range. Lee with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Good exchange - Jackson coming out on top.
It looks like Freddy Lee has been cut. Lee finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jackson. Lee does a little dance to reset his feet. Jackson checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Lee looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

This has been an exciting period of action! Jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lee can do anything to dispel that myth. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Jackson is stalling in the full guard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jackson is looking to work some ground and pound but Lee has wrist control. Jackson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jackson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Lee avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving. Jackson postures up in Lee's guard and throws a big left but Lee blocks it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. That's four minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jackson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jackson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lee works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Lee keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully. Jackson sitting in guard here, content to control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jackson works over Lee with some ground and pound from guard. Jackson with a flurry of punches that miss. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Jackson avoids the head kick by Lee.

Freddy Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jackson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lee sprawls well initially but Jackson persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Jackson is figuring out what he wants to do next. Jackson trying to control from half guard but Lee is working away.

Jackson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Jackson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jackson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Jackson wants to control but Lee is keeping him busy. Jackson throwing shots but Lee is blocking nicely.

Jackson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson is nestled in close to Lee, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Jackson is looking for a kimura here.

Jackson wants to take a breather but Lee is having none of it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jackson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lee has hold of Jackson's hands but Jackson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Omar Jackson dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Freddy Lee's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Lee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Good leg kick by Lee there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Some wild striking there from Jackson.
Jackson digs a good body shot into Lee's ribs. A bone on bone clash there as Jackson blocks the leg kick.
Lee displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jackson throws out the jab. Lee will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Lee moves out of range of the leg kick from Jackson. Jackson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lee can do to turn this around? Jackson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Lee fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jackson. Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown. Lee tries to sprawl out of it but Jackson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jackson is defended easily by Lee. Lee does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Lee throws a nice head kick!

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Omar Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jackson lands with a good body shot. Jackson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Freddy Lee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jackson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lee defends it well. Jackson is controlling the pace.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
We're going to have a standup here because Omar Jackson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Lee gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Omar Jackson showed his dominance in that final round. Well Jackson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
