Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Luis Barrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thurston Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Luis Barrera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Thurston Moore! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moore throws a hook but Barrera avoids it easily. Moore rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Barrera counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Moore is trying to break free. Barrera keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Moore's efforts to push away. Barrera wants the takedown. Moore is fighting it off but Barrera persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Moore's guard against the cage. Barrera drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Barrera jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Moore looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Barrera stopping the sweep attempt from Moore. Barrera loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Barrera is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Moore throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

That's one minute gone in the round. Moore controlling Barrera's posture. Barrera advances position into side control! Moore wants to control but Barrera postures up. Barrera working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Barrera takes a little break here. Moore wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Moore is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Barrera is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Moore has escaped the position, nice work there.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Moore tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Barrera wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Barrera wants to control but Moore is keeping him busy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Moore is trying to control Barrera's posture but Barrera avoids it. Barrera looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barrera tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Moore is looking for a sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barrera looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Moore is avoiding damage well.
Moore can't do much from the bottom here. Barrera tries to score with some ground and pound. Moore controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Moore struggling a bit here. Moore is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Barrera is staying active. Barrera trying to control the position but Moore is working away. Moore managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Barrera.
Barrera thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Barrera creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Moore sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barrera tries for a kimura but Moore is defending well. Barrera looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Barrera swings around for an armbar but Moore sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Barrera's guard. Barrera keeping moving, preventing Moore from controlling successfully. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Moore postures up in Barrera's guard and throws a big left but Barrera blocks it. Barrera controls Moore momentarily but Moore frees himself. Moore trying to control but Barrera is working from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Barrera wants to control from the top but Moore keeps moving. Barrera has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Moore wants to sweep but no luck. Barrera trying to control but Moore is working from the bottom. Barrera tries to free his leg and advance position but Moore is retaining full guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Moore is trying to control the position but Barrera postures up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Barrera uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Moore.
A telegraphed right hand from Moore misses the target. Thurston Moore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sloppy strikes from Moore. Those never looked like landing. Barrera throws a leg kick but Moore moved away. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Moore walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Barrera checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
That's one minute gone in the round. A swing and a miss from Moore. Barrera swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Luis Barrera is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Barrera fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Moore looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Moore throws an off balance right hand
and Barrera counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A big right from Moore misses. Thurston Moore is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Moore checks a low kick from Barrera. Moore misses with a low kick as Barrera jumps back. A telegraphed right hand from Moore misses the target. Moore tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Barrera was well out of range. Poor timing from Moore. Barrera throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Moore jabbing away but nothing is landing. Barrera lands a glancing blow to the side of Moore's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moore looks to throw the jab but Barrera is out of range. Barrera keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Barrera thuds a left hand into Moore's body. This has been an exciting period of action! Barrera is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Moore's half guard. Barrera looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The fighters are battling for position here. Moore manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Barrera is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
