Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lachlan Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peekay Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson comes to the cage accompanied by ready to Roll, The Black Dahlias. Williams has chosen Noise Won't Stop as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lachlan Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Peekay Williams!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Anderson.
Williams throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Anderson counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Anderson loads up on a big right hand but Williams slips the punch.
Anderson shoots in looking for a takedown. Williams tries to sprawl out of it but Anderson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Williams manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Anderson lands a leg kick that knocks Williams off balance momentarily.
Anderson misses with a low kick.
Some wild striking there from Williams.
Anderson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Williams moves out of range of the strikes.
Anderson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Anderson misses the jab.
Anderson looks to score with a jab to the body but Williams is just out of range.

Anderson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Williams sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Anderson's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Williams wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anderson keeps working.
Williams stalling away here and it's allowed Anderson to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Anderson is looking to stand back up but Williams counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Anderson.
Anderson is pressing down on Williams's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Anderson pushes Williams off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Williams with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
A telegraphed right hand from Williams misses the target.
Anderson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Anderson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Williams circles away quickly and effectively.
Williams darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Anderson misses with a two punch combination.
Williams fails with a takedown attempt.
Anderson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Anderson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Anderson misses the shot to the body.
Anderson misses with a few strikes there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Lachlan Anderson will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Anderson is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Williams's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Williams throws a sloppy head kick and Anderson moves out of range easily.

Anderson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Anderson looks to land a combination. Williams sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Anderson fails with a takedown attempt.
Williams lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A big left from Anderson misses.
Williams is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Anderson throws a hook to the side of Williams's head but Williams sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Anderson throws a body punch but Williams moves out of range.
Williams fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Anderson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Williams moves away.
Williams lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Anderson looks to land a combination but Williams avoids it well.
Anderson lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Williams has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Williams misses with a low kick.

Anderson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Williams.
Williams looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lachlan Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peekay Williams.

Anderson explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Anderson shoots for a takedown but Williams saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Anderson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Anderson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Williams quickly recovers to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Anderson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Anderson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Williams checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

and Williams counters with a single leg into guard. Anderson didn't expect that.
Williams wants to pass the guard but Anderson is keeping the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
The crowd cheers as Anderson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Williams doesn't seem phased though.

Anderson throws a leg kick but Williams sees it coming and checks it nicely.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lachlan Anderson.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Anderson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
