Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Ho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gray Son (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Ricky Ho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gray Son!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Son blocks a head kick by Ho.
Ho lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Son at a distance.
Ho avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Son throws a right hand that misses
and Ho makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Ho throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Son.
Ho fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ho pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Ho avoids the head kick by Son.
Gray Son seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Son takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Son will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Some wild striking there from Ho.

Son misses with a series of wild punches.
Son tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ho manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ho checks the leg kick.
Son fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ho.
Ho moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Son pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ho ducks under a wild hook from Son.
Ho rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Son moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ho scores with a jab to the body.
Son misses with a hook
and Ho cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A nice leg kick lands there from Son.
Son throws the kick towards the body but Ho avoids it.
Ho lands a really nice looking cross but Son seems unphased.
Son gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Son will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A head kick by Son misses
and Ho counters with a three punch combo that has Son backing up. Son nods at Ho to acknowledge the strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ho takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Son tries to clinch up but Ho circles away and keeps his distance.
Ho lands a nice hook to Son's body. Son takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Son throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ho swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Son fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ho has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Son shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ho but Ho pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Son takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Son tries a head kick but it misses.
Ho blocks a head kick by Son.
Son throws a right hand that misses
and Ho connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Son looks to land a body kick but Ho moved away.
Son gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Ricky Ho is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ho ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ho misses with a wild combination.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sloppy strikes from Ho. Those never looked like landing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Ho throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ho tries to land a front kick but Son steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Son fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Ho checks it well.

Ho connects with a good right hand that stumbles Son. Son circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Son throws a head kick that misses.
Son uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ho.
Son is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ho.
Ricky Ho is winning the standup battle so far.

Son tries to clinch up.
Son takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Ho cracks Son with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Ho throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ho throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.


It looks like Gray Son has been cut.
Ho stuffs the takedown attempt from Son. Son gets slowly back to his feet.
Son throws a leg kick
and Ho counters with a body kick that stops Son in his tracks momentarily.
Son misses with a jab to the body
and Ho counters with a left to the body.
Ho wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ho scores with a three punch combo!
Ho attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Ho lands a lovely overhand right.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Son slips a straight right by Ho.
Son pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Son attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Ho lands with a good body shot.
Son shoots for a takedown but Ho saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Ho moves away from the strike by Son.
Son is looking to clinch.
A head kick misses from Ho.
Ho showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Son.
Son walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Ho throws out a powerful jab.
Donk. Ho catches Son right on the button with a cross.
Son swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ho counters with a nice kick to the body.

Ho misses with a few strikes there.
Ho misses with a low kick.
Son scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ho in his tracks.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ho. Son does a little dance to reset his feet.
Son throws a looping overhand right but Ho ducks down to avoid it.
Son ducks right into an uppercut from Ho.
Ho wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ho avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Son misses with a kick to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ricky Ho dominated that second round.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Son slips a jab and a cross from Ho.
Ho throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Good leg kick by Son there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Ho throws a hook but Son blocks it.
Son misses with a shot to the body
and Ho counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Son tries to clinch but Ho moves out of range.
Son scores with a punch to the head.
Nice uppercut there from Ho.
Son moves in looking to clinch but Ho pushes him off.

Son with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Son defending well as Ho loads up on a big left hand.
An inside leg kick lands from Son.
Son throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Ho counters with a nice uppercut.
Ricky Ho is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ho lands a jab to the nose.
Ho throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Son steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ho.
Son swinging wildly here.
Ho scores with a hook to the body. Son takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Ho lands a leg kick that knocks Son off balance momentarily.
Son finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Son throws a head kick that half lands.


It looks like Ricky Ho has been cut.
Son is looking to land body kicks.
Ho circles away from the clinch attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Son misses with a low kick.
Ho just misses with a punch to the body.
Ho throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Son needs to keep his hands up - Ho had a free shot at his head there.
Son throws a head kick that misses.

Son gets in close and instigates a clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Son.
Son lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ho backwards.
Son digs a right hand underneath Ho's ribcage. Ho let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Son tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Son works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ho blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Son taking a breather.
Gray Son has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Son throws a punch but it's blocked by Ho.

Ho can't find room to land a body shot as Son controls the action.
Son has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Ho tries to circle away but Son has him pinned against the cage.
Son tries to work over Ho's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Son breaks the clinch.
Son takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Son throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ho stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Son.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Son throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Ricky Ho is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Son misses with a hook
and Ho counters with a nice body kick.

And that's the end of the fight!
Gray Son comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Ho has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
