Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Floppy McPoppins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arturo Gatti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gatti throws a wild body kick that McPoppins sees coming a mile off.

Gatti tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McPoppins was well out of range. Poor timing from Gatti.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Arturo Gatti hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

McPoppins remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
