Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bryson Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Harty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khan's entrance music is Bully by Shinedown. A fine choice. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Jack Harty enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan tries to land a leg kick but Harty saw it coming and moves away.
Harty avoids the head kick by Khan.
Khan swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Harty counters with a single leg into guard. Khan didn't expect that.

Khan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Harty decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Khan, up you get!

and Harty counters with a shoot takedown. Khan fights it but they end up in guard.
Harty keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Khan's head.

Harty wants to pass the guard but Khan is keeping the position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jack Harty wasn't active enough on the ground.
Harty tries to score a power double leg takedown but Khan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Harty somewhat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Harty is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Khan defends it well.

Harty wants to stand but Khan has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Harty shoots in and bounces Khan off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Harty stands up and waves to Khan to follow him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Harty dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Harty decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Khan's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bryson Khan.

and Khan counters with a series of strikes. Harty will be more careful next time no doubt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Harty thows a huge punch but Khan dodges it nicely.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Harty has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Harty drops an elbow to the side of Khan's head.
Harty wants to get back to his feet.
Khan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Harty's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Harty's back!

Harty won't enjoy being in this position. Khan looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Harty is tapping - it's over boys! Khan picks up the submission victory!

A pretty intense looking Bryson Khan took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
