The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abuabu scores with a nice strike.
Laskey closes the distance and clinches.
Abuabu has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Abuabu doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Laskey blocks a body shot from Abuabu.
Abuabu misses with a hook from the clinch.
Abuabu tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Laskey wants to take the fight to the mat but Abuabu manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Laskey lands an elbow inside that Abuabu shrugs off.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Laskey lands a takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Laskey stands and steps away. Abuabu gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Laskey clinches up against the cage.

Abuabu has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Laskey pushes Abuabu back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Laskey lands an elbow inside that Abuabu shrugs off.
The referee is keeping an eye on Laskey - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Laskey pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Laskey clinches.
Laskey goes for a takedown attempt but Abuabu pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Laskey is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Laskey forces Abuabu back against the cage and clinches.
Abuabu misses with the head strike.

Abuabu takes an elbow to the temple.
Still in the clinch, Laskey scores with a nice short uppercut.
Biru Abuabu's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Knees in the clinch landing for Laskey.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Laskey is looking to take this one to the mat.
Biru Abuabu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerry Laskey.
Abuabu gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Laskey.

Laskey wants to stand up but Abuabu is controlling him.
Abuabu is looking to work some ground and pound but Laskey has wrist control.

Abuabu might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Laskey looking to hit a scissor sweep but Abuabu is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Abuabu throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Laskey works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Laskey wants to get back to his feet but Abuabu is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Laskey kicks Abuabu off and gets to his feet.
Abuabu tries to clinch up
and Laskey counters by moving into the clinch.
Laskey lands a knee to the head.
Abuabu takes an elbow to the forehead.
Jeez, Biru Abuabu's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Biru Abuabu's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
