Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brayden Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Dennis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee comes into the arena with In The Morning blaring out of the sound system. Dennis has chosen Bark at the moon as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Brayden Lee! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jorge Dennis! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lee connects with a right hand. Dennis shakes it off. Lee avoids the body shot from Dennis.
Dennis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Lee pushes Dennis up against the cage in a clinch. Lee lands an elbow inside. Dennis tries to score a body lock takedown but Lee shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Lee misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Dennis.
Dennis takes an elbow to the forehead. Dennis goes for a takedown attempt but Lee pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Brayden Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorge Dennis. Lee looks to land a body kick but Dennis moved away. The fighters circling - Dennis throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Dennis swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Dennis chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lee can pounce on him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lee misses with a low kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dennis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lee tries to avoid it but Dennis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lee to the ground. Lee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Dennis slips under a jab. Lee finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

and Dennis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A big left from Lee misses. Dennis misses with a series of wild punches.

That's three minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dennis. Lee finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

We're going to have a standup here because Brayden Lee wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Lee feints and then cracks Dennis's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dennis down. A decent looking body kick lands there for Lee. Lee stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lee wants it to stay on the feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Dennis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. It looks like Jorge Dennis has been cut. Lee's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Lee lands a hook to the side of the head. Lee stops a takedown attempt from Dennis.

Dennis is trying to drag Lee to the mat but Lee just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Dennis can't get the takedown.

That's six minutes gone in the round. Dennis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lee swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lee is adopting a defensive guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Dennis dives in and grabs Lee's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lee pushes down on Dennis's head and hops out. Dennis shoots for a takedown but Lee saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Lee lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Dennis's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Lee feints and then cracks Dennis's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dennis down. Lee closes the distance and clinches. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Lee just misses with a elbow thrown towards Dennis's brow. Dennis turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Dennis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lee keeps working.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Lee managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Dennis.
Lee takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Dennis landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. You can see the frustration on Lee's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Lee is trying to escape the position but Dennis is controlling the position. Lee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dennis on the ground. Lee is trying to get back to half guard. Lee gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Lee trying to hold on to Dennis's head to control him but Dennis postures up.

That's nine minutes gone in the round. Dennis pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Dennis wants to control but Lee has made it back to half guard. Nice work. Lee is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dennis's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dennis's back! Dennis manages to reverse the position and now he's in Lee's guard. Nice work there by Dennis.
Dennis missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lee controlling the position. Lee throws a body kick that misses. Jorge Dennis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dennis shoots in but no luck this time. Dennis looks to land a left hand but Lee moved out of range nicely. Dennis swings for the body but Lee moves out of range.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dennis thows a huge punch but Lee dodges it nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! Brayden Lee showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lee, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
