Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jims Second (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demon Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maia has chosen Numb/Encore as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Demon Maia has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jims Second's chin.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Second to score an easy takedown into full guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Maia bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Second's guard.
Second is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Maia is controlling him.
Maia postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Second is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Maia, into his guard.
Maia is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Second missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Maia had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Second defends it easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Maia is on top in guard.

Second leaves Maia with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A telegraphed right hand from Second misses the target.
Second shoots in for a takedown but Maia shows good takedown defense.
Second shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Maia defends it nicely.
Second shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Maia pinned against the cage. Maia gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The fighters circling - Second throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Maia drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Maia throws a leg kick but Second checks it.
Second misses with a shot to the body
and Maia counters with a takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Maia works to advance to full mount. Second defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Second sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Maia is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Second!
Maia throws a strike there. Second manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.
Demon Maia has got the better of the ground game so far.
Maia thows a huge punch but Second dodges it nicely.
Maia seems to be working for a kimura but Second defends the submission attempt.

Maia jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Second is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Second and Maia has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Maia is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Second knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Maia swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Second is now in Maia's guard. A big mistake from Maia there, giving up the dominant position!

Second is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Maia escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Second gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Demon Maia comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Maia has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
