Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nicholis Nabavian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nabavian shoots in looking for a takedown but Sims manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nabavian's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Nabavian enables Sims to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Nabavian manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Nabavian wants to sweep here but Sims controlling him for the moment.
Nabavian is working an open guard so Sims takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Sims drives through with a takedown into Nabavian's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Nabavian keeping moving, preventing Sims from controlling successfully.
Sims passes into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nabavian is pressing down on Sims's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Sims really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nabavian. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sims might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Nabavian kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nabavian is on top in guard.

Nabavian trying to control but Sims is working from the bottom.
Nabavian looking to sit in guard and control but Sims gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Nabavian wants to sweep here but Sims controlling him for the moment.
Sims is looking to stand up but Nabavian won't let him.

Sims must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Sims trying to control but Nabavian is working from the bottom.
Sims gets to his feet. Nabavian looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Sims is pressed up against the cage. Nabavian has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sims down to the mat. Sims avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Sims throws a combination that misses
and Nabavian counters with a single leg into guard. Sims didn't expect that.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nabavian wants to control from the top but Sims keeps moving.
Nabavian pushes down on Sims's leg and manages to get into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Nicholis Nabavian will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Sims stuffs the takedown attempt from Nabavian. Nabavian gets slowly back to his feet.

and Nabavian counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Nabavian has gone for a leg lock! Sims slips out almost immediately though and dives into Nabavian's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nabavian looking for a sweep. Not yet Nabavian, not yet.
Nabavian is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Nabavian bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sims's guard.

Nabavian is pushing down on Sims's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sims is fighting to maintain full guard but Nabavian has managed to sneak the leg through.
Nabavian is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Nabavian seems to be working for a kimura but Sims defends the submission attempt.
Nabavian seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Sims is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
