The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vlad throws a sloppy head kick and Wilson moves out of range easily.
Wilson misses with a series of wild punches.
Vlad throws a nice head kick!
Wilson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Vlad throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Mocny Vlad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vlad scores with a punch to the head.
Vlad dodges the punch combination from Wilson.
Wilson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
The fight stays on the outside here - Vlad looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Vlad misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Wilson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Vlad connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Vlad shoots for a takedown but Wilson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Vlad throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Wilson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Wilson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wilson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Vlad is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Wilson sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Vlad's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Wilson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Vlad is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Wilson goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Vlad turns into him and now he's in Wilson's guard.
Vlad is looking to stand up but Wilson won't let him.
Wilson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Wilson wants to pass the guard but Vlad is defending well.

Wilson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Wilson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Vlad manages to get to full guard.

Wilson drops Vlad with a left and a right! Oh, Vlad is hurt - Wilson dives into side control looking to finish!

It looks like Mocny Vlad has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wilson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Vlad is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Vlad is still in real trouble! Can Wilson finish him?
Wilson cracks Vlad with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Wilson immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Vlad is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Wilson!
