The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson avoids the head kick by Reed.
Reed attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Anderson scores with a jab.

Reed shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Reed thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Anderson's head.
Reed is trying to control. Anderson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Anderson is trying to get back to full guard.
Reed is looking to take a break and control but Anderson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Reed really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anderson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Anderson controls Reed momentarily but Reed frees himself.
Anderson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Reed trying to control the position from guard on top but Anderson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kevin Reed has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Anderson feints and as Reed raises his hands in defense, Anderson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Anderson cracks Reed with a solid left hand.
Anderson trying to control but Reed is working from the bottom.
Anderson with a nice head shot there.
Anderson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Reed's head.

Anderson pushes down on Reed's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Anderson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Reed is refusing to be controlled, as Anderson sits in half guard.
Anderson works his foot free and advances to mount.

Anderson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Reed is rocked!
Anderson unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Reed wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Anderson celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
