Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Samiel Valeren!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Shawn Gonzales!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valeren fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gonzales avoids it really well and circles away.
Valeren closes the distance and clinches up with Gonzales, looking for a takedown. Valeren pushes Gonzales against the cage but Gonzales circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gonzales gets the takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gonzales grinds an elbow into Valeren's temple.
Valeren takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Valeren is looking for a sweep.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gonzales landing a few strikes.
Gonzales in side control, throwing shots but Valeren defends.
Gonzales is chipping away with strikes.
Valeren is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Valeren is breathing heavily.
Gonzales scores with a couple of short elbows.
Oh Valeren is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
A big shot lands for Gonzales! That's hurt Valeren! Will he recover? Gonzales fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
