Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mardy Bum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Trig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mardy Bum! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Trig! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good standup being displayed there by Trig as he connects with a hook. Trig rushes Bum and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Trig pulls Bum into guard.
Trig keeping moving, preventing Bum from controlling successfully. Trig trying to control the position.
Bum would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Bum pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Trig is keeping the position for now. Bum has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Trig is proving hard to escape from. Bum tries to free his leg and advance position but Trig is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trig pulls Bum in close to prevent any damage.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Frank Trig was stalling too much, according to the referee. Bum misses with a takedown attempt - Trig sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Trig gets in close and instigates a clinch. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Bum breaks the clinch.

Bum on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Trig looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Trig decides to stand up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Trig drives through and clinches with Bum against the cage.
Bum has Trig pushed against the cage. Trig has Bum pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Trig pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bum tumbling to the mat - Trig dives into Bum's guard. Trig controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Trig passes Bum's left leg - he's now in half guard. Trig stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Bum to get to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trig fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bum to the ground. Trig is now in Bum's guard. Trig is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Trig slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Bum is breathing heavily. Bum struggling a bit here. Trig content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Trig stands up and beckons Bum to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Trig moves into the clinch successfully.

Trig wants to improve his position but instead Bum has moved into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Trig is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bum's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bum's back! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. I would not like to be Bum right now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Trig dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Trig shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bum manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Bum is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Trig wants to get back to full guard. Trig trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Bum is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Trig has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Trig! Trig stands up and waves to Bum to follow him.
That's one minute gone in the round. A kick lands to the mid section there for Trig. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bum misses with a takedown attempt and Trig counters with a three punch combo that has Bum backing up. Bum nods at Trig to acknowledge the strikes. Trig bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Trig lands a few punches from side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trig's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Frank Trig hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. No luck for Bum with that takedown attempt. Trig drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Trig has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Trig controlling from the top position. Trig drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Trig jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trig slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Trig cracks Bum with a solid left hand. Trig controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Bum looking to hit a scissor sweep but Trig is one step ahead there. Trig stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Trig moves into range and clinches up with Bum. Bum wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mardy Bum. That's going to take a lot out of him. Trig has Bum pressed against the cage.
Trig has clasped his hands together around Bum's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Frank Trig has got the better of the ground game so far. Trig controlling from side mount. This has been an exciting period of action! Trig working the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Trig showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Trig pushes Bum away with a front kick. Bum shoots in but Trig avoids the takedown attempt easily. Mardy Bum is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Excellent takedown into side control there by Trig. Trig is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bum has escaped the position, nice work there. Bum being controlled for a moment. Trig lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Bum down.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trig is staying tight to Bum's torso, preventing him from escaping. Trig grinds an elbow into Bum's temple. Bum is letting Trig control him for a moment. Trig has knee on belly and moves into mount. Trig tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Trig connects with a bit shot that sees Bum covering up! More strikes from Trig and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Trig is our winner by TKO!
