Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrej Kavelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson has chosen Firestarter as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrej Kavelin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Johnny Johnson! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson tries to clinch up. Johnson throws a nice inside leg kick. Johnson moves forwards but Kavelin connects with a nice, crisp jab.
It looks like Johnny Johnson has been cut. Johnson tries a head kick but it misses.
Johnson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kavelin takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Kavelin avoids the head kick by Johnson.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kavelin. Kavelin getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Kavelin throws a nice looking combination but Johnson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kavelin throws the left hand but Johnson avoids the punch easily. Kavelin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kavelin sprawls well. Kavelin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet. Kavelin with a jab. Kavelin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A punch lands to the side of Johnson 's head but he takes it in his stride. Kavelin scores with a punch to the head. Johnson closes the distance and clinches up with Kavelin, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes Kavelin against the cage but Kavelin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Andrej Kavelin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Johnson. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kavelin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johnson tries to avoid it but Kavelin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johnson to the ground. Johnson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kavelin forces Johnson back against the cage and clinches. Johnson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Kavelin drops down looking for an ankle pick but Johnson pulls his leg out and moves away.

Johnson defending well as Kavelin loads up on a big left hand. Kavelin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Johnson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kavelin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Johnson. Kavelin is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Kavelin gets a clinch. Kavelin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Johnson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kavelin quickly recovers to half guard. Kavelin holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Johnson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Johnson in particular looking to stall. Johnson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kavelin tries to get to full guard but Johnson has control of the leg. Kavelin is looking to control Johnson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kavelin avoid being mounted?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kavelin is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Johnson pulls his head out easily. Johnson is looking to take a break and control but Kavelin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Still in half guard, Johnson seems content to control. Kavelin punching from the bottom.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kavelin regains full guard. Nicely done. Johnson stopping the sweep attempt from Kavelin. Johnson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Johnson with a flurry of punches that miss. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Johnson wants to control from the top but Kavelin keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrej Kavelin dominated that round. The cut man is working on Johnny Johnson's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kavelin clinches up with Johnson and pushes him back against the cage. Nice elbow from Johnson. Kavelin works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Kavelin trying to control but Johnson is working from the bottom. Kavelin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kavelin not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Johnson trying to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kavelin looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Kavelin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Johnson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kavelin. Kavelin has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson is squirming around, avoiding Kavelin's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Johnson defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Kavelin. Johnson tries to reverse the position but Kavelin maintains control. Johnson tries to improve his position but Kavelin has taken his back! Kavelin has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Johnson tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Kavelin pushes Johnson away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Andrej Kavelin! Andrej Kavelin gave a mention to [WOT] DTK Designs (Laundry) in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
