The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toast shoots in looking for a takedown but Steel manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Toast's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Toast lands a body shot.
The fight stays on the outside here - Steel looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Steel tries to bum rush Toast with a series of wild strikes but Toast uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Toast lands with a nice body punch.

Steel takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Toast throws a lazy right hand but Steel sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Steel tries to clinch but Toast moves out of range.
Steel looks to land a body kick but Toast moved away.
Toast throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Steel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Toast moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Steel uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Toast has time to react.
Steel throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Toast scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Steel lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Toast sprawling to the canvas. Steel follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Toast hang on?
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Steel is trying to control. Toast wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Toast gets full guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Steel won't allow Toast to sweep him here.
Steel is looking to advance position but Toast has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Toast is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Steel is surviving well by controlling Toast's body position as best he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Norman Steel dominated that round.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
and Steel takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Toast looks for a takedown but Steel sprawls well.
Steel ducks right into an uppercut from Toast.

Steel takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Toast is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Steel.
Toast connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Steel momentarily.
Steel tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Toast was well out of range. Poor timing from Steel.
Toast lands a nice looking body shot.
Toast just misses with a punch to the body.

Toast looking to score a takedown here. Steel is defending well but Toast drives through and ends up in Steel's guard.
Steel manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Steel lands a heavy elbow.
Toast just holding on.
Steel lands with some strikes.
BOOM! Steel connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at French Toast's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
